DAY 1: FES ⇢ IFRANE ⇢ MIDLLE ATLAS MOUNTAINS ⇢ ZIZ VALLEY ⇢ MERZOUGA
Start early from Fes and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known for its clean streets and alpine style, then visit the cedar forest near Azrou to see the wild Barbary macaques.
Continue through Midelt and the beautiful Ziz Valley, with panoramic views over thousands of palm trees. By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, where your camel trek begins across the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset.
Reach your desert camp for dinner, Berber music around the fire, and an unforgettable night under the Sahara stars.
DAY 2: Merzouga Desert ⇢ Rissani ⇢ Fes
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes, one of the most beautiful moments of the tour. After breakfast at the camp, return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4, then start the journey back to Fes.
Drive through Rissani, with a possible stop at the local market if it is open, then continue north through desert landscapes, mountains, and small towns. After lunch on the way, arrive in Fes in the evening and get dropped off at your hotel or riad.
