Day 1: Fes Guided Sightseeing Tour
The day is dedicated to exploring Fes, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual capital. With a licensed local guide, you visit the historic medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include the Royal Palace gate, the Al Quaraouiyine Mosque and University, one of the oldest universities in the world, and the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss II.
You continue through the traditional souks and artisan quarters, followed by a visit to the Nejjarine Fountain, the former Harem Garden, and the Batha Museum. The tour concludes with a panoramic view over the city before returning to your accommodation.
Day 2: Fes – Middle Atlas – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
Departure from Fes toward southern Morocco through the Middle Atlas Mountains. The route passes Imouzzer, Ifrane, and the cedar forests near Azrou, where Barbary macaques can often be seen.
After crossing mountain landscapes and Berber villages, the journey continues to Midelt and then through the Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and kasbahs. Arrival in Merzouga, located at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Overnight near the dunes.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi Desert Discovery – Camel Trek – Desert Camp
