This 5 day journey takes you from Tangier in the north to Marrakech in the south, crossing some of the most beautiful places in Morocco. You will start with the blue streets of Chefchaouen and continue to the cultural heart of Fes. The route then moves through the Middle Atlas and reaches the Sahara Desert, where you enjoy a camel ride and a night in a desert camp. After the desert, you explore the Todra Gorges, the Dades Valley, and the old kasbahs of southern Morocco. The trip ends with a scenic drive across the High Atlas Mountains before arriving in Marrakech.
DAY 1: TANGIER ⇢ CHEFCHAOUEN
Your tour begins in Tangier. Your driver meets you at the airport or directly at your hotel, helps you with your luggage, and gives you a short introduction to the trip. When everything is ready, you start driving toward the Rif Mountains.
The road from Tangier to Chefchaouen is calm and green, with small villages and beautiful mountain views. You can stop on the way for photos or a short break whenever you want, as this is a private tour and the timing is flexible.
You arrive in Chefchaouen around midday or early afternoon. After checking in to your hotel or riad, you have free time to explore the Blue City at your own pace. Chefchaouen is famous for its blue houses, narrow streets, and peaceful atmosphere. You can walk inside the Medina, visit the main square, see the old Kasbah, and enjoy the small shops with handmade crafts.
DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN ⇢ FES
After breakfast in your riad, you have some free time for a last walk in the blue streets of Chefchaouen. When you are ready, you start driving toward Fes. The road is calm and passes through small villages, green fields, and mountain landscapes.
On the way, you can stop for photos or a short break whenever you like. Your driver can also suggest good viewpoints where you can enjoy the scenery.
You reach Fes in the afternoon. Fes is one of the oldest and most important cities in Morocco. It is known for its large Medina, old mosques, traditional markets, and rich history. After arriving, you check in to your riad and relax.
Later, you can walk around the area near your riad or simply enjoy some rest. Fes Medina is big and can be visited in detail with a local guide the next day.

DAY 3: FES ⇢ IFRANE ⇢ MIDDLE ATLAS MOUNTAINS ⇢ ZIZ VALLEY ⇢ MERZOUGA DESERT
After breakfast in your riad, you leave Fes and start your journey toward the south. The road soon reaches Ifrane, a clean and quiet town known as the “Little Switzerland” of Morocco because of its European-style houses and fresh air. You can stop here for a short walk and photos.
Next, you continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing cedar forests and wide green areas. There is also a chance to see the Barbary monkeys in the forest. Your driver can stop if you want to take pictures.
After the mountains, the landscape slowly becomes drier and more open. You drive through the Ziz Valley, which is well known for its long palm groves and beautiful views of the oasis. You can stop at viewpoints to enjoy the scenery.

You wake up early in the desert to enjoy the sunrise over the sand dunes. After breakfast in the camp, you return to Merzouga by camel or by 4×4 car, depending on your preference and comfort.
Your journey continues toward Rissani, a small traditional town known for its old market and local products. If the market is open, you can visit it and see dates, spices, clothes, and many other items that local people buy every day. Rissani is also known as the hometown of the Alaouite royal family.
After Rissani, you drive through dry desert landscapes and small Berber villages until you reach the Todra Gorge. This is a natural canyon with tall rock walls that rise more than 300 meters high. You can walk inside the gorge, take photos, and enjoy the cool air and the river that runs through the valley.
Next, you continue to the Dades Valley, known for its beautiful rock formations, old kasbahs, and green fields along the river. There are many nice viewpoints along the road where you can stop for photos.
In the evening, you arrive at your hotel in the Dades Valley. You enjoy dinner and spend a quiet night surrounded by the mountains.
DAY 5: DADES VALLEY ⇢ OUARZAZATE ⇢ AIT BEN HADDOU ⇢ HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS ⇢ MARRAKECH
After breakfast in your hotel, you leave the Dades Valley and continue your journey through the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. This part of Morocco is known for its old clay villages, palm groves, and beautiful views of the mountains.
Your first stop is Ouarzazate, also called the “Hollywood of Morocco.” Many international movies were filmed here. You can stop to see the outside of the Taourirt Kasbah or take a short walk in the town if you wish.
Next, you visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most beautiful kasbahs in Morocco. You can walk through the narrow alleys, explore the old clay houses, and climb to the top for a nice view of the valley. Many movies and series were filmed here, such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
After the visit, you continue driving toward Marrakech by crossing the High Atlas Mountains. The road goes through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, which offers wide views and many places to stop for photos. The landscape changes from mountain villages and green terraces to more open and warm areas as you get closer to Marrakech.
